Varun joined Forestay from OC&C Strategy Consultants, where he spent 4 years advising private equity, enterprise and growth-stage clients across the B2B software landscape. Prior to this, he began his career in investment banking at Arma Partners, a boutique TMT focused advisory firm. He holds a degree in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford.
Having grown up in the UK, Varun recently returned to London after two years in Sydney, where he helped establish OC&C’s Australia office. Outside the office, Varun can usually be found exploring London’s best coffee spots and restaurants, or working on his golf swing.
While Varun is a generalist investor, he as a particular interest in studying the impact of AI on vertical / problem-specific applications – particularly where the use of AI has unlocked new workflows that were previously economically unviable or impractical with traditional software.
