Today’s new workforce will expect fast and flexible jobs, at their finger-tips. To fulfil this mission, Zenjob, the digital staffing marketplace that provides temporary work to workers and employees to companies, has raised $50 million in a growth financing round. Led by Aragon, all existing investors contributed to the round. Forestay had previously invested in the company in May 2020, leading its Series C, and today has re-invested alongside other partners, including Acton Capital, Atlantic Labs and Axa Venture Partners.
Zenjob’s platform, which matches workers seeking temporary, or side, employment in a growing number of sectors, has filled over a million jobs in Germany and the Netherlands. Over 2,500 companies in over 10,000 locations are using the platform to fill their roles, while over 40,000 workers are using it every month to find work.
It’s the combination of speed, variety, and flexibility that gives workers full control of their work life and faster access to the money that they earn. In order to build the best product in the market, Zenjob has been tracking client and talent satisfaction since the founding of the company in 2015 and will use its new financing to continue and accelerate its expansion in Europe – including entering the UK later this year – to scale its platform, and to add new data-based automation features for its customers.
Forestay’s Managing Partner, Frederic Wohlwend, said: “When we first partner with – and invest in – companies, we look for excellence in technology and team, and we look for a need in the market being addressed. Zenjob is a first-rate case in point, both reflecting and helping to mould the changing ways of working that are taking place, globally. Reinvesting was an easy decision and we are excited to see how Fritz and the team continue to utilise data for the benefit of both employers and employees.”
Fritz Trott, co-founder and CEO of Zenjob, said: “The growing demand for temporary work offers an opportunity to help people book reliable jobs with the click of a button, while offering benefits like faster payouts and a steady stream of income. It’s a win-win situation, both for companies and our talents. For us, this is the foundation to grow our platform and bring our services to new cities and countries.”
Zenjob is a digital staffing marketplace that provides temporary work to workers and employees to companies. Using the Zenjob app, talents find and book jobs on an hourly basis and can flexibly decide when, where and for whom they work. Each month, more than 40.000 workers are employed in sectors such as logistics, e-commerce, retail, and service. Zenjob was founded in 2015 by Fritz Trott, Cihan Aksakal and Frederik Fahning in Berlin and currently employs over 300 people.
